Dr. Yele-Aluko

Dr. Aluko is Chief Medical Officer and Managing Director in EY Americas. In this role he is a member of EY’s Health Sector Board and advises health system C-suite clients on megatrends confronting the health industry, enterprise growth strategy and business operations.  

Dr. Kevin Njabo

Kevin Njabo, PhD, is the UCLA Pritzker Education Fellow and Associate Director/Africa Director for the UCLA Center for Tropical Research and the Congo Basin Institute. He also holds a joint Faculty position (Adjunct Associate Professor) at both the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability as well as the School of Public Health.

Dr. Akila Subramaniam

Akila Subramaniam is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She completed her bachelor degree in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Shen then went on to complete her medical degree and a master’s in public health at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Antoinette A. Okala Enohmbi

Is a Spiritual Director in Charlotte, NC area. She is a member of the Emmaus Center for Spirituality and an active member of Spiritual Directors International. She holds a B.A. degree in Psychology, has experience as a counsellor and a special Education teacher. She received her Spiritual Formation training through the four-year Fairfield University Spiritual Direction program.

Dr. Ify Osunkwo

Dr Osunkwo is a Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Atrium Health, and the Director of the Sickle Cell Disease Enterprise at Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) /Atrium Health, Charlotte, NC with 28+ years’ experience in sickle cell disease (SCD) and hematology. She earned her MD from University of Nigeria, MPH from Johns Hopkins University in maternal and child health with the goal of using her medical and public health expertise to enhance access to care for populations of underrepresented patients rather than just a few.

Dr. Nche Zama, keynote speaker

He is recognized as one of the top cardiothoracic surgeons in the country and is often sought out for his expertise. He has held positions across Pennsylvania as Director of the ESSA Heart and Vascular Institute in East Stroudsburg, Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Jefferson Aria Health in Philadelphia, Chief of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, and has been a Staff Cardiothoracic Surgeon for Susquehanna Health Systems in Williamsport and York Hospital in York.

Bernadette N. Kilo

Bernadette N. Kilo,M.D. is a Cameroonian-born medical doctor graduate who works as an Autism Program Consultant and Developmental Pediatrics Case Manager for The Southeast Permanente Medical Group(TSPMG), also known as Kaiser Permanente, in Atlanta GA. Dr. Kilo supports her Developmental Pediatric team by highlighting the importance of conducting a culturally relevant Neurodevelopmental Pediatric assessment.
